Our State League Men in Port Lincoln

On 19th February our State League Men’s team played in Port Lincoln as part of the opening of the new Port Lincoln Tennis Centre. Former Australian Davis CupCaptain/World Number One Doubles Player John Fitzgerald played in a celebrity doubles match with local Port Lincoln celebrities and Tennis SA CEO, Alistair MacDonald, followed by our boys playing their round against Glenlea. The boys went down to a strong Glenlea side, but were missing our top two players. State League Men in Port LincolnThey attended a Cocktail Party that night where ‘Fitzy’ was the guest speaker - and a wonderful host. As can be seen from the photo, the boys had a fantastic time – and enjoyed a few cocktails. They stayed at the Port Lincoln Hotel and were flown home the next day. The flights were funded through Bendigo Bank as part of a sponsorship arrangement with Port Lincoln Tennis Association and accommodation was provided by Tennis SA. It was a wonderful experience and one they will remember for quite a while.
